Herbal Classes & Education in Northern Michigan
Learn Herbal Medicine Through Hands-On Education

At Bear Earth Herbals, we believe that one of the best ways to learn about plants is by spending time with them. Our herbal classes and workshops are designed to help people build meaningful relationships with the natural world while developing practical skills that can be used for years to come.
Whether you're completely new to herbalism or looking to deepen your existing knowledge, our Northern Michigan herbal classes provide opportunities to learn through observation, experience, and community. We believe herbal education should be accessible, engaging, and rooted in direct connection with the plants that grow around us.
Through hands-on herbal learning experiences, participants explore medicinal plants, traditional herbal preparations, sustainable harvesting practices, and the seasonal rhythms that shape our local ecosystems. Many classes take place outdoors, where students can develop plant identification skills while learning directly from the landscapes that support these valuable plant communities.
Our herbal medicine classes encourage curiosity, stewardship, and confidence. Rather than simply teaching information, we strive to help students cultivate a lifelong relationship with plants and a deeper understanding of their role in personal and community wellness.
A big part of our mission at Bear Earth Herbals is to share our love and passion for plants, after all it's why we do what we do! If you've been feeling called to seek a deeper understanding of the natural world and the green beings we share it with, we encourage you to look into one of our educational offerings. Scholarships and work trade options are available upon request.
